Jessica M. Pointer is a public servant, community advocate, and municipal leader with more than 25 years of experience in human services, public administration, family support, child welfare, and community-based advocacy. She serves as President of Lansdowne Borough Council and Chair of the Borough’s Health and Public Safety Committee, where she advances public health, community safety, healthcare access, youth engagement, and responsive local government.

Jessica holds a Master of Science in Public Policy and Administration and is a Certified Borough Official. Her professional foundation includes specialized training in forensic interviewing, domestic violence response, violence prevention, child welfare, and family-centered systems of care. That experience has shaped her belief that public policy must be guided by listening to the people most affected by it.

Her municipal leadership has centered on building safer, healthier, and more inclusive communities through policy and partnerships that protect children and families, strengthen public-health and emergency-response systems, promote community wellness, and safeguard immigrant residents. She also serves in county-level child welfare and legislative advocacy roles.

Jessica brings sustained party-building experience at the local and state levels. She is an elected member of the Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee and serves as Secretary of the Pennsylvania Democratic Women’s Caucus. She has served for several years—and continues to serve—as Vice Chair of Fundraising and Development for the Lansdowne Democratic Committee, while also serving as Vice Chair of the committee. Through these roles, she has developed a practical understanding of how local, county, and state Democratic leadership must work together to build infrastructure, raise resources, engage volunteers, develop leaders, communicate a clear message, and win elections.

An Emerge Pennsylvania Class of 2025 graduate and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Jessica brings a deep commitment to service, civic participation, and leadership development. As Vice Chair of the Delaware County Democratic Committee, she brings the experience of an elected official, public-service professional, fundraiser, organizer, and statewide party leader committed to a Democratic Party that listens, earns trust, supports working families, protects community well-being, and delivers accountable leadership.
