Brian Kirkland was elected in 2016 to serve as state representative for the 159th Legislative District. Prior to his election, Kirkland served as Special Projects Coordinator for the City of Chester. His public service experience includes serving as Director of Constituent Affairs for former state Rep. Thaddeus Kirkland, Brian’s uncle.
Through this experience, Kirkland built relationships with officials, both locally and in Harrisburg, so he is ready to “hit the ground running” when he takes office. Kirkland serves as a deacon at Community Baptist Church, where he runs a youth mentoring program.
As a state representative, his focus will be on increasing school funding, improving education, job creation and issues facing seniors and veterans.
Kirkland lives in Chester, he attended East Stroudsburg University and is the proud father of a young daughter.
