As her district has been heavily impacted by the closure of Crozer Health, U.S. Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon, D-5, of Swarthmore has introduced legislation that would prohibit private equity firms from owning hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.
Called the Take Back Our Hospitals Act, Scanlon introduced the legislation with U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn.
