Lt. Gov. Austin Davis stopped at Swarthmore Borough Hall Saturday to express support for U.S. Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon, D-5, of Swarthmore as she seeks her fifth full term to Congress.
Scanlon was first elected to her post in a 2018 special election resulting from the resignation of former U.S. Rep. Patrick Meehan. She has won each of the elections since then.
The U.S. representative is up for re-election this year and received the Delaware County Democratic Committee’s endorsement this month. The term is a two-year term. She is a member of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee and its Rules Committee.
