Delaware County Democrats running for County Council locked in spots on the November ballot in the May Primary.
The Democrats battle for County Council seats began early when the party’s endorsed candidates were thrown from the primary ballot for failing to properly file statements of financial interest. Now, they are using the results as a springboard for what they hope will be a victory in November, in the process breaking the GOP stranglehold on county government.
“(The primary results) bodes well for the effort that’s going to be made in the Fall,” said County Democratic Committee Chairman David Landau.
