Internship Opportunities

The Delaware County Democratic Committee is looking for interns interested in working at our campaign headquarters in Media, PA. This internship opportunity is perfect for political science, communications, marketing and other similar majors. The qualified intern will learn about local campaigns and politics and will be prepared to work on any major campaign after completion.

Internships at DCDC include field (preparing for phone banks, phone banking, canvassing, talking to voters, event building), fundraising (event planning, drafting fundraising asks, building relationships, donor research), communications (press release writing, social media, website updates) and political (candidate staffing, event building). Interns can choose one or more of these areas to work in and will be asked to do projects that cover all four areas of interest. While interns may focus on one area of interest, all interns are expected to complete all projects given to them by staff.

To be an intern you must:

  • Have a passion for Democratic politics
  • Be a registered Democrat (if applicable)
  • Be willing to do your best at every project
  • Have an open mind and be willing to learn new things

We ask that interns work at least ten hours a week  between 10am-5pm in our Media, PA headquarters. There are no maximum requirements and there are opportunities to work on the weekends and after hours, especially during the height of the campaign season (Summer and Fall). Interns may use this internship as credit for school, but must communicate with the Executive Director regarding this. All internships are unpaid. The DCDC Internship offers comprehensive and exciting political opportunities throughout the year.

If you are interested in interning in a fast pace, political environment, please send your resume and cover letter to: Jay Evans, Executive Director at
