Eric Gunlefinger was born and raised in the Folsom Section of Delaware County and graduated from Ridley High School in 2004. Following Graduation, Eric joined the United States Marine Corps as an infantryman and served two tours in the city of Al Fallujah with Echo Company, 2^nd Battalion 6^th Marines, 2^nd Marine Division. In 2007 he was awarded a Combat Meritorious promotion to Corporal for his actions as an Infantry Squad Leader while serving overseas in Fallujah. He was also awarded the Combat Action Ribbon for his actions during combat operations in the city.
