While efforts to get Democrat Ken Harper on the ballot as a write-in candidate in the 162nd Legislative District in the primary election last week were unsuccessful, Springfield Democrat Jeremy Fearn had success in the 165^th Legislative District.

“I want to thank the voters of the 165^th District for supporting my candidacy,” said Fearn, a telecommunicatons project manager for AT&T, in a prepared statement Wednesday. “I am very much looking forward to meeting with residents in the months ahead and explaining how I intend to represent and promote their issues, interests and concerns in Harrisburg.”

The 165^th Legislative District is currently represented by longtime Republican state Rep. Bill Adolph of Springfield.
