About The Artists
Lisamarie McGrath
Lisamarie McGrath is a resident of Upper Darby, where she works
as a professional flutist and music teacher. Her distinguished
career has included solo, chamber, ethnic and orchestral
performances in such diverse places as Great Britain, Colorado,
Wyoming and the Mid-Atlantic area. A native of Colorado,
Lisamarie journeyed to the East Coast in 1985 to study flute
with the renowned principal flutist of the Philadelphia
Orchestra, Murray Panitz. In 1989 she graduated (cum laude)
from Temple University and engaged in private study with David
Cramer (Philadelphia Orchestra) and Mark Sparks (Baltimore
Symphony). Lisamarie’s honors include winning the National Flute
Association’s Orchestral Audition Masterclass Competition, the
1991 Pottstown Symphony Young Artists Concerto Competition, and
the Fort Collins Young Artist Concerto Competition.
Elise Auerbach
Pianist Elise Auerbach has performed around the world and enjoys
a diverse career as both a soloist and collaborative artist.
Highlights include appearances at Carnegie Hall Weill Recital
Hall, soloist with the Temple University and Delaware
Symphonies, live broadcasts over Cincinnati Classical Radio WGUC
and chamber music tours in Germany. She has participated and
performed at many international festivals including the Opera
Theater of Lucca, Italy, the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo,
Japan, the Banff Centre for the Arts and the Grandin Festival
for Vocal Chamber Music. She frequently serves as Music Director
for several local and regional Opera Companies, and has been
pianist for the Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia and
Artist-in-Residence at Cheney University. Currently, Ms.
Auerbach is pianist for the Haddonfield Symphony, the Savoy
Company, and Faculty Pianist for the Summer Conference for
String Education and Chamber Music. A graduate of Temple
University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance, she earned a
Master’s Degree in Accompanying at the University of Cincinnati
College-Conservatory of Music. She is a member of the vocal
coaching faculty at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Lisamarie and Elise have performed recitals together for over 15
years and bring to the stage a wealth of musical experience.
They are inspired by all aspects of musical performance, and
express themselves best before a live audience.
