On
November 15, 2005, the Democratic National Committee
is officially kicking-off the 2006 “Fifty States”
Campaign. I volunteered to host two events. There
have been some changes, and I hope that those whom I
have contacted for help will let me know how they
can support this. Of course we want all active
democrats, including our new volunteers, college
students, seniors to attend these events.
The
first will be a rally in front of the Delaware
County Court House, at 4 p.m., to announce our
county plans to take back the 7th
Congressional District. Various county Democratic
officials who have endorsed Paul Scoles will speak,
and Paul will give the keynote rally speech. This 4
p.m. event will ensure the possibility of news
coverage for the next day. All those who are
candidates in 2006, who are endorsing Paul in 2006
are especially welcome to sign up to speak briefly,
and to provide quotable quotes to media present.
At 7
p.m., we will host the “Fifty State Strategy”
planning and recruiting session in the Cuniff Hall
Science Center, Room 199, Swarthmore Campus. The
Swarthmore Student Democrats helped us set this up,
and the place has plenty of room for all who want to
come and sign up for the “Clean House” Campaign.
Our goal is to send Paul Scoles back to the
classroom, and send Dr. Paul Scoles to Congress to
fight for affordable healthcare, good jobs, 21st
century transportation, social security and
responsible international diplomacy to make the
world safe for America once again. Contact me if
you want to help for this event by bringing some
sodas, chips and dips for the students.
Here
are the directions to Science Center 199 (Cunniff
Hall).
Take Rt. 476 to Exit 3
(signs for Media and Swarthmore).
Take the Baltimore
Pike toward Swarthmore (this is a left if you are
coming from 476 South and a right if you are coming
from 476 North).
Take the third right
after you get off 476. This road will be Rt. 320,
follow it past the blocked-off road and down to a
light. At the light, take a right.
You will still be on
320, but now it will be called Chester Rd.
Turn on Elm Ave. --
the second right after the light.
Turn on Whittier
Place, the second left off Elm Ave (also one of the
entrances to the college). Take Whittier Place all
the way down to the cul-de-sac and take a right into
the large parking lot.
The building facing
you in the cul-de-sac is the Science Center. Once
you park, walk down to the walkway between the two
different parts of the center (you would get to this
open walkway if you were able to drive straight
beyond the cul-de-sac). At this walkway, take a
right. When you enter, the building you will be
right next to room 199.
We worked hard to earn
our victories in 2005. Here’s to the strongest
moral statement Americans can make in 2006: send Dr.
Paul Scoles and other REAL DEMOCRATS to Congress to
put our country back on the right track!
