Local Races of Note:

Though we can't possibly cover and report all the municipal races it should be noted that Pam Maven won both primaries for a school board seat in Upper Darby and will therefore become the first Democrat elected to that School Board in a very long time. In the only contested primary for Mayor, endorsed Upper Darby Democrat Janice Oakey defeated John Furth. Incumbent District Judge Stephanie Klein won the Republican Primary and is unopposed in November. Also elected by virtue of winning both Primaries was School Director Diane Leahan of Darby Boro and newcomer Jennifer Hoff of Lansdowne, both in the William Penn School District. Michael Reilly of Wallingford-Swarthmore was re-elected by winning both Primaries.
