Weldon Owes Pennsylvania Families Some Answers

HARRISBURG: Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairman T. J. Rooney today offered the following statement regarding Rep. Curt Weldon's investigation by the FBI into using his office to benefit his family.

"Today's news reports suggest Curt Weldon has been using his position in the Congress to benefit his friends and family.  These are very serious allegations, and Mr. Weldon needs to step forward immediately and answer questions.

"This is not the first time we have heard such allegations about Rep. Weldon. Unfortunately, this is just the latest example of the missing moral compass in Washington.  Instead of more scandal and more cover-ups we need a member of Congress who will restore Pennsylvania values.  It's time for a new direction."
