Volunteer!

Pardon the overused nautical reference, but it's time for "all hands on deck" at the campaigns of former Vice Admiral Joe Sestak and the entire Democratic slate of candidates.

We have a great chance of success here in Delaware County in 2006 - we have great candidates, an electorate that is attentive to our issues and Republican failures and changing demographics that are on our side. The variable that will make or break this year's campaigns is our own dedication to the cause. In 2004, thousands of grassroots supporters were activated: going door to door, making calls, working the polls, and energizing their friends and neighbors. To win this year, we need to re-activate those volunteers and organize the grassroots to carry our candidates to victory in November. If you have not yet filled out the volunteer form on our website, please do so by clicking here.

Several volunteer opportunities are listed below: get involved today and make a difference in this year's campaigns!

Casey for Senate Delaware County Organizing Meeting

This year has presented Democrats with a true opportunity to change the direction of our country. Part of this effort is the campaign to defeat right-wing Senator Rick Santorum and elect Bob Casey as our next US Senator.

The Bob Casey for Senate Campaign is organizing a Field Campaign in Delaware County. This effort will involved canvassing, phone banks and election day activities. Tony Campisi, First Vice Chair of the County Party, has been named Delaware County Coordinator for the Casey Campaign and has scheduled an Organizing Meeting for the purpose of organizing volunteers and leaders. All interested Democrats are urged to attend.

When:

Wednesday, August 16, 2006

7:00 PM

Where:

Marple Public Library, Sproul and Springfield Roads, Broomall

Worth Repeating

Writing last May in National Review, conservatives Kate O'Beirne and Rich Lowry had one word to describe the Republican Congress' approach to the matter: "Incontinence." In that important essay, O'Beirne and Lowry argued that the relevant question for conservatives may not be "Can this Congress be saved?" but, "Is it worth saving?"
