Contact your State Representatives on Anti-Marriage Amendment

Last Wednesday, the Pennsylvania Senate approved a version of the so-called Anti Marriage Amendment limiting marriage to one man and one woman - but they rejected the language in the House version that proposed a ban on civil unions and any relationship "substantially equivalent to that of marriage." Now the amendment is back in the House of Representatives. The House must approve this version by June 30 in order to put the amendment on the ballot in 2007 or 2008. Any attempt to write discrimination into the Constitution is shameful. Contact your state representatives TODAY and urge a NO vote on House Bill 2381.

Casey Campaign House Parties

On June 13th, the Casey Campaign had several house parties across the state (check out the photo gallery at www.bobcasey.com/multimedia/photos). Each location participated in a conference call with Bob and heard more about his positions on the issues and how he will better represent the needs of Pennsylvanians in the US Senate. These events were a great success, and in the words of one host, "guests were pleased with the amount of information they received from him [Bob] in one phone call and were excited to hear his plans for the state and for the country."

On July 12th, the Casey Campaign will be having another round of house parties and plan to build the house party network across the state, and increase the dedicated group of Team Casey volunteers. With your help we can help make that goal a reality.

The goal is to have 10 house parties in each of the 67 counties. If you are interested in hosting a house party for Bob Casey, please contact Liz Conroy at lconroy@bobcaseyforpa.com.

"There is something in the air... a breath of fresh air for change, hope and optimism. We are sick and tired of being told we have to be afraid."
