Candidate Profile - Dustin Gettel
 
Over the course of the next several weeks we will profile each of our candidates for State Representative in Delaware County. Dustin Gettel is running in the 165th legislative district (Springfield, Morton and parts of Marple and Radnor).
 

Dustin Gettel was born March 13, 1980 in  Chambersburg , Pennsylvania Chambersburg is located in south-central Pennsylvania between Harrisburg and Maryland.  He graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in May 1998.  Dustin attended Shippensburg University briefly before moving to Delaware County in 2001.

 

Dustin has been active in politics from a young age and credits his mother and grandmother for instilling in him the Democratic values he holds today.  While attending Shippensburg University , he received a Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Award for his leadership in Shippensburg's Multicultural Student Affairs Office.

 

Dustin was also elected to the Shippensburg University Senate and served as Secretary of the College Young Democrats.  He now expects to obtain his Political Science and Teaching Degree from West Chester University and will attend Temple law school.

Izzo Fundraiser Rescheduled
 

Please be advised that the date of the Izzo Fund-Raiser has been changed. The new date is Monday August 2nd.  It will still be held at the Izzo home from 5:30 to 8:30. If you purchased a ticket for the event, it will be honored for the new date.

Voter Registration Event in Morton

When: Saturday, July 10th 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Where: Morton
What:  Going door to door in volunteer groups to register voters.

Meet at committee person Bob McGrath's home at 27 Sycamore Road, Morton.

Please note we are also setting up voter registration and information tables at supermarkets throughout the county. We need volunteers in various locations every Saturday and Sunday until the end of the summer. To volunteer, reply to this email!

President Bush is running a new ad on his campaign website that features an image of Adolf Hitler along with John Kerry and other Democrats. Bush has sunk to a new low in a campaign that has already relied entirely upon negative attacks.

Sign our petition today and demand that President Bush remove his disgusting new ad and apologize to Democrats for putting them on the same level as Adolf Hitler. Click here to sign the petition.
